Application process will close May 31st. Awarded Applicants will be notified in early August on the status of their application results.
This year again, we are going to ask the recipients or a representative from their department (those selected from the application by a 3rd party decision team) to join us for our annual golf tournament on Monday September 8th at Fox Hollow Golf Club in St Michael to receive their hoods. Thank you Chief Deputy Mills for your attendance last year. We hope to see you again and encourage others from the SFM office and also members of The MSFCA to join us this year.
We continue to partner with the U of M working with doctors to study the effects of cancer on firefighters working fires. With our 13 state coalition we are always learning about the rise in firefighter cancer patients across the US and those numbers continue to rise.
If you have applied before for these hoods please spread the word and for those who have applied but not been awarded I encourage you to keep applying as we strive to hit our goal of 500+ Hoods again this year. We will continue to do this as long as we have the support of the MSFCA and our donors.
Deadline for submission is May 31st so please help get the word out to your regions as soon as possible.
